Project Title: Smart Garment Recognition for Blind People
Brief:
Malaysia has a constant rise in the number of blind people. There are 285 000 000 blind individuals globally according to the World Health Organization (WHO) and there are 100 000 individuals in Malaysia. Blind people experience certain difficulties in selecting garments, smart tagging is implemented in this initiative. Smart Tagging is one of the latest innovations built to enable blind people to pick clothes without the help of others while shopping. Blind people will use the special application to recognize the garment by scanning the code on the tag and also to educate them about the symbols that been using. Although the tag includes various symbols of clothing size, color, and some other details about the garments. Meanwhile, at home they can choose their own clothes if the clothes are mixed with their families after the laundry.
