Project Title: Fun Wheel (Healthy Fun Ride)


Brief:

Our Fun Wheels are a fun ride, interactive and healthy way of promoting healthy life. By pedaling specially designed front-loading bikes people from all walks of life get to blend their own delicious fruit smoothies. It’s fun, easy to do and the riders get a reward every time! Fun Wheels are great for public based events to support people Health and Well Being days, and also to promote Sustainable Transport and Environmental initiatives.

Key Issues:

The factors cause a decreased number of visitors to Zoo Negara.

  1. An increase of entrance fees

  2. Climate change “El Nino” 2015

  3. The management still faces financial constraints

  4. Less satisfied with the services and facilities provided in Zoo Negara

  5. Haze


Development:

The fun wheel is a bike that uses human energy as well as a health product and tool for visitors to try and get their juices from their energy. This product is designed for visitors, in addition to recreation and after visiting animals, they also have a healthy activity and healthy drink to boost their energy efficiency after a day of relaxation. The electric power generated once the visitor starts to cycle the bike, and the electric will supply and the vending machine will start operating produce the smoothies.

Impact:

With this bike, visitors can do other activities besides relaxation, entry ticket will be included with the package activity as well as the type of fruit selected by the visitor. This is aimed at attracting visitors or families, some families only accompany their children but their interest in animals diminishes, with the bike being able to provide some benefit and boredom in their family's leisure activities. this bike is useful and also environment friendly, it also does not use electrical equipment. In addition, visitors can save money to buy water that is reasonably priced. In addition to aiming for a drink on their own, visitors are also given the opportunity to have a healthy and energetic activity over the weekend while waiting for other members of the family to see the animals. The impact is to get attraction and perspective from visitors toward activities that are available in the zoo and it’s all about being healthy and to keep having good activities in the weekends.
